1st Night F1 - Live From Singapore

The first ever F1 night race was held in Singapore at the heart of the Central Business District. It is the first time the country has hosted F1 and had seemingly did an excellent job as Briton Mike Bishop, who has been to 55 Grands Prix was quoted as saying "The circuit, the atmosphere, the organisation... it has been brilliant. I’ve been to Monaco a couple of times, and this is definitely better".

All category tickets were sold out and Singaporeans who were too slow in getting their hands on a ticket or those who couldn't afford them (like me), were lined up all along the circuit - trying to catch a glimpse of the race.

Renault’s Fernando Alonso came in first followed by Williams' Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton for McLaren's at third place. Here's our winner:

Whilst watching at home may be comfortable with air-conditioning and lots of food and drinks to enjoy, it just doesn't feel quite the same being at the circuit to watch the race. The sound of the high pitch tyres screeching makes your heart stop and the smell of the burning tyres makes you realise just how face the cars are racing.
