This is my favourite food and it's
Hokkien too, like me! If you visit Malacca - you simply have to try this. It's one-of-a-kind and so good.

As you can see, there's generous servings of pork and tauhu. | ![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgS2633-4Ku78MYplPV3LS67CsVq3q32Psi_kT_um9k9kkIeS5wSgj7pe-7lNZMnoGaxyq_l_QiBRO5zCyV9hHv1q8KysuroEm9lL6h9R-r7vHNCXj6I5m9-An5n399HyxUmvXJPg/s200/2290346654_b11a8f0d5c_b.jpg) The rice is cooked with yam, fried shallots and it tastes so good - even on its own. It goes perfectly well with the soup. I tried white rice when I was younger - yucks! |

Wonder if it has any effect in making it tastes or smell better... | ![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaIeTZ2MxmmLC7Op125B0KmDH7mQBXb55SyX4SSSZxBHNgRosOLL3TYO22GjZrcGL5vrDqiU58y6aUdSo0EjhgSPhr2kC83JB-JxfCh74sYMmb98j682TFnqX82wrtLDQQwEqZlA/s200/2289549705_b0120230eb_b.jpg) This place is definitely NOT halal. They serve various parts of the pig - there's liver, intestines, fatty meat, lean meat etc. |

oh my goodness... i remember this!
Esjay: It's similar to Bak Kut Teh but it tastes different and they use lean pork instead of pork ribs.
Chit: Too bad you can't eat it anymore.
